Cerritos College Athletics and the California Community College Men's and Women's Basketball Coaches Association have teamed up to support Coaches vs. Cancer with a night of fundraising and awareness. On Friday, February 22 at The Aviary on the Cerritos campus, the Falcon women's basketball team will host Pasadena City College (5:00 p.m.) and the men's team will entertain Los Angeles Southwest College at 7:00 p.m. in their South Coast Conference finales as part of this worthy cause.

Admission for the game is #8 for Adults and $5 for students as part of the fund raising effort and everyone who buys a ticket to the games will be given a raffle ticket. At halftime of both the women's and men's game, a ticket will be drawn and the recipient will get a chance to win a gift certificate if they are successful in making a three-point shot. If they miss the shot, another ticket will be drawn.

Upon entering the gym, there will be also be a "Wall of Remembrance" with markers for anyone who wishes to write a message or a name of someone they know who is a cancer survivor. Another way the college is raising money is with a snack bar, with all proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.
