Cerritos Cross Country (2011): Finished in 44^th place at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 24:10.00, while his time of 23:42 at the Santa Barbara Invitational put him in 43^rd place… Posted a time of 28:25 at the Vanguard Invitational for 69^th place, while his clocking of 22:41.25 earned him a 76^th place finish at the SoCal Preview Meet… Ran at the Vanderbilt Invitational and recorded a time of 28:50.20 for a 128^th place finish and also came in 25^th place at the UC San Diego Opener with a time of 24:13.2…..

Cantwell HS: Was a member of the cross country team for three seasons and was also on the baseball team for four years and the track and field team for one season… Posted a personal best time of 17:45 over a three-mile course… While on the track team, he specialized in the 800 meters (2:04) and 3200 meters (10:43)…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were his time of 16:16 at the Rosemead Invitational and when he ran a 2:04 in the 800 meters at the CIF Prelims… Is working on a minor in nutrition and would like to transfer to Cal State Fullerton… Likes to play video games in his spare time… Nicknamed “MaJoe”… Has one sibling – Kelly (17)… Is the son of Jose and Irma Magana… Born in Pomona, CA on April 15, 1993…..
