Cerritos College Track & Field (2012): Placed eighth in the hammer and ninth in the shot put at the South Coast Conference Championships… Posted a personal best distance in the shot put (11.87 meters), hammer (37.69 meters) and discus (34.84 meters)…..

La Mirada HS: Specialized in the shot put (44’ 7”) and discus (132’)… Also threw the hammer… Was a four-year Scholar-Athlete… Placed third in the league championships in the discus as a senior… Spent four years on the track and field and football teams… Was a member of three Suburban League championship teams in football… Team won the CIF Championship his junior year…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he recorded his personal best distances in the shot put and discus to help his team win a league meet… Would like to transfer to UC Santa Barbara… Also plays baseball, basketball, golf and tennis… Is the cousin of Anthony Torres, who played football at La Habra High and Santa Ana College… Hobbies include playing video games… Has three siblings – Dana, Kim and Katie… Is the son of James and Denise Barrett… Born in Glendale, CA on October 21, 1992…..
