Whittier HS: Specialized in the triple jump (44’ 5”), long jump (20’ 5”) and 400 meters (52.2)… Voted the track team’s Most Valuable Player as a junior and earned their Rookie of the Year  award as a sophomore… Was also a member of the football team and was named 2nd Team All-Del Rio League as a junior… Earned the team’s Rookie of the Year as a sophomore and was the freshmen team MVP…..

Personal: Most memorable moments were when he recorded his personal best marks… Would like to transfer to UC Davis and aspires to be the head engineer technician for an automotive company… Hobbies include eating… Has four siblings – Juan (20), Elijah (12), Jacob (9) and Tenaya (8)… Is the son of Armando Figueroa and Angelina Castillo… Born on December 17, 1995…..
