Cerritos College Track & Field (2014): Competed in the 800 meters (2:12.09), 1500 meters (4:26.74), 5000 meters (16:18.12) and 10,000 meters (34:44.05)…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2014): Placed 74th at the CCCAA State Championships in a time of 21:45.5, while he was clocked in 21:11.8 to come in 115th place at the Southern California Championships… His time of 22:00.46 earned him a 23rd place finish at the South Coast Conference Championships… Posted a time of 21:47.7 to earn 23rd place at the Brubaker Invitational, while he finished 11th at the Grand Canyon Invitational with a time of 28:52.9… Finished 56th place at the Golden West Invitational in a time of 21:41.3 and came in 137th place at the SoCal Preview Meet in 22:44.9… Completed the Fresno Invitational in 22:48.53 to finish in 76th place, while he came in 54th place at the Mark Covert Open in a time of 29:27.0…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2013): Finished the UCLA Double Dual in 29:17.95 to finish in 30th place, while his time of 22:53.60 put him in 40th place at the San Diego Invitational… His time of 22:07.61 put him in 64th place overall at the Central Park Classic and ran the SoCal Preview Meet in 27:42.39, which earned him a 73rd place… Also ran in the Palomar Invitational, and came in 50th place in 25:32…..

Katella HS: Specialized in the 1600 meters (4:27) and 3200 meters (9:50) and 5000 meters (15:10.0)… Voted his team’s Most Valuable Player three years in a row and was named the Most Improved Athlete twice… Was a member of the track and field and cross country teams for three seasons… Recorded a personal best time of 15:10 over a three-mile course…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was when he posted his best time in the 3200 meters… Would like to transfer to either UCLA or Grand Valley State (MI) University … Hobbies include reading… Has two siblings – Aldo and Jesus… Is the son of Bryan Taboada and Alejandra Acofta… Born in Guerrero, Mexico on October 3, 1994…..
