With two of their toughest South Coach Conference matches remaining, the Cerritos College men's water polo team remained undefeated after an 18-8 win over visiting El Camino College on Wednesday. The Falcons (12-7, 3-0) are one of three undefeated teams in conference play and will take on both of them in their final two matches. Prior to that, Cerritos will host a one-day tournament on Saturday at take on both Southwestern College (9-8) and Santa Monica College (4-12).

In the win over the Warriors (2-10, 1-1), the Falcons scored the game's first four goals, with Julian Almanza (St. John Bosco HS) accounting for three of them. In fact, Cerritos scored five goals in each of the first three periods and limited El Camino to just six tallies. Just as they did in the first period, the team scored four goals in a row in the third period, with Isaiah Wright (Whittier HS) picking up a pair.

As they have done all season, the team received goal scoring from a variety of players, with nine getting on the board at least once. The quartet of Almanza, Wright, Christian Acosta (Schurr HS) and Drew Gilbert (Garden Grove HS) each scored three times for the Falcons, while Ruben Martinez (Western HS) and Almanza combined to assist on nine of the goals. Almanza complimented his all-around game with four steals.

In goal, Aiden Parra (California HS) won his 10th game of the season by playing the first two periods and made 10 saves, with Tripp Johnson (Kennedy HS) and Geo Fagiani (Schurr HS) joining forces to play the second half.
