Posted a personal best time of 16:23 his senior year… Earned a Scholar-Athlete Award as a senior, while also receiving the school’s 4-Year Award… Spent four years on the cross country and track and field teams… As a senior on the track and field team, he was a 1st Team All-Suburban League selection after winning the league championship in the pole vault (13’ 3½”)… Also advanced to the CIF Championships after setting the school record in the pole vault… Named the team’s Most Valuable Player as a sophomore and was selected all-league and earned the Coaches Award… Competed in the 800 meters (2:16), 1600 meters (4:52) and posted a time of 54.0 in his split for the 1600-meter relay…..

Personal:
Most memorable moment was when he registered his personal best time in cross country at the Arcadia Invitational and set the school’s pole vault record… Would like to transfer to Cal State Los Angeles and aspires to be either a chiropractor or personal trainer… Hobbies include drawing, free running, and the pole vault… Nicknamed “Goku”… Has two siblings – Jessica (24) and Yolanda (17)… Is the son of Jose and Angela Arellano… Born on October 18, 1991…..
