After getting to within one victory of advancing to the state championships, the Cerritos College women's water polo team has had several players earn post-season accolades. The Falcons, who finished the season 27-5 and won the South Coast Conference Championship, saw sophomore Shelby Gleason (Los Altos HS) earned the conference's Player of the Year honor, while head coach Sergio Macias was named the SCC Coach of the Year for the fourth time in his career and second year in a row. In addition to the conference award, Gleason was named All-American and 2nd Team All-Southern California, while being joined by sophomore Adriana Rodriguez (Montebello HS), who was also named All-American, 1st Team All-Southern California and 1st Team All-SCC.

Joining the duo on the 1st Team All-SCC list was sophomore Stephanie Tuning (Los Altos HS), as well as freshmen Katherine Gabayeron (Cerritos HS), who also received 2nd Team All-Southern California accolades, as well as Sharon Ku (Cerritos HS). Freshmen Yuridia Vela (Schurr HS) and Sarah Aguyao (Downey HS) were named 2nd Team All-SCC.

Gleason finished second on the team with 58 goals scored, while also adding 29 steals and 10 assists, while it follows a season where she earned 1st Team All-Southern California and 1st Team All-SCC as a freshman. Her 112 career goals scored are fifth on the school's all-time list, while Rodriguez moved herself into third place after adding a team-high 81 goals to the 65 she scored in 2008 for 146 total goals. In addition to her 81 goals this year, Rodriguez also recorded 71 steals, which ties her for the seventh most in a season. It gives her 131 career steals, which is third on the school's all-time list behind Tuning (161) and Meagan Robles, who amassed 164 in 1999 and 2001.

As for Tuning, she set a single-season record of 98 steals this season, while she was also fifth on the team with 37 goals scored. Ku, the team's goalkeeper all season, set a new record with 258 saves on the year, breaking the old mark of 221, set by Barbie Diaz in 2005. Gabayeron was third on the team with 47 goals, while also accounting for a team-high 14 assists and 49 steals, while Vela contributed 44 goals and 37 steals. Aguyao was a solid defensive player and posted 17 goals, with 13 assists and 11 steals on the year.
