With 25 entries in the 3rd Annual Cerritos Open, the Cerritos College women's wrestling team came in first place with 133.5 team points on Saturday. Champions of the tournament for the first time, the Falcons didn't have a single first place finisher, who had three second place finishers, as well as four that came in third place. In all, 15 of their wrestlers came in the top six spots over the 11 weight classes. The team will now travel north to take part in the Sacramento City Tournament on February 8.

Those who placed second included Oceanna Yeung (South Torrance HS) at 103 pounds, Kinsey Konrad (Redondo Union HS) at 180 pounds and 207-pound Raven Ross (Long Beach Poly HS). As far as those who ended the day in third place, they included Rontaysia Payne (Dickson County, TN HS) at 131 pounds, Saquoia Dubuque (Big Bear HS) at 145 pounds, 180-pound Analize Lopez (Downey HS) and 235-pound Keyscha Rodriguez (Paramount HS).
