Incoming freshman Tyler Peshke (Fountain Valley HS) may not have played an inning for the Cerritos College baseball team, but he has already made his decision on where he will be going after the 2026 season. The infielder/pitcher has made his commitment to UCLA. He will be the first Falcon to play for UCLA since Anthony Norman in 2004.

Originally committed to New Mexico State University prior to his senior season, Peshke batted .394 as a senior with nine doubles, five home runs , six stolen bases and 25 RBI. As the closer for the Barons, Peshke appeared in 12 games and recorded eight saves, while finishing with a minuscule 0.62 ERA. In his 11 1/3 innings pitched, he struck out 18 batters and surrendered just four singles.

Peshke was selected to play in the 57th Annual Orange County All-Star Baseball Game and will see time as both an infielder and pitcher for the Falcons.

After his freshman season in 2026, Peshke will be joining a Bruins team that went 48-18 in 2025 and advanced to the College World Series.
