A fourth member of the Cerritos College men's basketball team has made their four-year commitment, as guard Darron Henry will be transferring to Division II Missouri S&T University. An All-State and 1st Team All-Southern California and 1st Team All-South Coast Conference selection, Henry joins Spencer Ezewiro (Lamar University), Andrew Mata (Lewis & Clark State College) and Jordun Willard (Southwestern Christian, OK University) as Falcons who will be playing at the next level.

During his sophomore season, Henry helped lead the Cerritos College men's basketball team to a share of the South Coast Conference championship and berth in the 3C2A State Tournament.

On the year, Henry led the Falcons in scoring (14.4 ppg) and assists (5.3 apg), while he also pulled down 3.3 rebounds a game. A lock at the free throw line, Henry converted 111-of-129 free throws (86.0%), which ranked fourth in the conference.

Henry scored a season-high 26 points against Compton College and had four other games in which he scored over 20 points. He scored in double-figures 26 times, including a team-high 19 points in the state tournament game against San Francisco City College. He averaged 18.0 points a game in the postseason, as well as 6.0 assists and 3.3 rebounds a game.

Henry dished out a career-high 12 assists against Santa Monica College and had eight assists in three other games. A huge contributor on the boards, Henry pulled down at least five rebounds in seven games, including a season-high eight caroms in the game against Santa Monica.

He will be joining a Miners team that went 25-6 last season and earned a berth in the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional as the #1-seed. After a win in their first game, they were upset by #4-seeded Missouri-St. Louis, 65-56, which ended their season.
