Cerritos College Men's Basketball delivered a strong all-around performance Wednesday evening, defeating Long Beach City College 90–81 at The Aviary.
The Falcons showcased offensive efficiency and depth, shooting over 51 percent from the field and knocking down nine three-pointers while dishing out 21 assists on 33 made baskets. Cerritos maintained control throughout the contest by sharing the ball, attacking the paint, and responding to every LBCC run.
Sophomore guard Dorian Tate led all scorers with a career night, pouring in 23 points on an efficient 9-of-12 shooting while adding seven rebounds and four assists. Blake Brewer was lights-out from deep, connecting on 4-of-5 from three-point range to finish with 16 points, while Isaac Sowell recorded a dominant all-around performance with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists, anchoring the Falcons on both ends of the floor.
Cerritos received valuable contributions throughout the lineup, including Kamaury Washington, who added 12 points and five assists, and Elijah Gelin, who chipped in 10 points and two blocks off the bench. Jaysen Owens and Dylan Davis each provided key minutes and scoring support, helping the Falcons maintain momentum.
Defensively, Cerritos forced 16 turnovers, controlled the glass, and converted opportunities at the free-throw line to seal the victory late. The Falcons' balanced attack and disciplined execution proved to be the difference as they protected home court.
