After winning their fourth South Coast Conference championship in the last five years, the Cerritos College softball team has been seeded #3 for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs. The Falcons (29-8) will be hosting #14-seeded Southwestern College in a best-of-three series that will start at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Nancy Kelly Field, while the series will conclude on Sunday. The Jaguars (25-12) finished in a tie for second place in the Pacific Coast Conference. The winner of the best-of-three series will advance to the Super Regional the following weekend.

Cerritos enters the playoffs winning 12 of their last 13 games, with their only loss being a 3-2 non-conference setback against #2-seeded Cypress College last week. As for Southwestern, they have won 11 of their last 12 games, including six in a row to end the regular season.
