When a team wins the South Coast Conference championship, posts a 29-8 regular season record and earns the #3-seed for the upcoming Southern California Regional Playoffs, there's bound to be some post-season accolades bestowed upon the team. For the Cerritos College softball team, that translated into sophomore outfielder Lauren Castrellon (Downey HS) being named All-State, as well as the conference's Player of the Year, while sophomore second baseman Alexxa Sanabria (Palm Springs HS) and sophomore shortstop Briana Quintana (Mayfair HS) both earned All-Southern California and 1st Team All-SCC honors. In addition, head coach Kodee Murray was named the conference's Coach of the Year, while five other players garnered all-conference recognition. 

Castrellon, who earned 1st Team All-SCC and All-State Tournament honors in her freshman year (2009), leads the Falcons in batting average (.455), triples (6), RBI (41) and stolen bases (21), while Sanabria batted .400 in the regular season to go along with her team-high 16 doubles, four home runs and 40 RBI. As for Quintana, this marks the second year in a row that she earned All-Southern California honors, while she hit .390 with a team-high eight home runs and 36 RBI.

Also being named 1st Team All-SCC were freshman outfielder Shelby Blair (Lakewood HS) and freshman pitcher Lily Cornejo (Paramount HS), while sophomore third baseman Krista Mele (California HS) and sophomore designated player Jackie Flores (California HS) received 2nd Team all-conference honors. Sophomore outfielder Maiya Tallakson (Redondo Union HS) was named honorable mention. Blair batted .421 during the regular season with 14 doubles, five triples and 38 RBI, while Cornejo leads the team from the circle with a 27-7 record and 2.94 ERA in 211.2 innings of work.
