In continuing with the long tradition of Cerritos College football, offensive tackle Brandon Logan (Artesia HS) has signed with UNLV. Logan is the 14th Falcon offensive lineman to sign with a Division I school in the last decade and is the 34th overall offensive lineman to sign during the same time frame. A 2nd Team National Central League selection in 2019, Logan verbally committed to San Diego State at the conclusion of the season, but de-committed when his academic paperwork hit a few hurdles. He will have three seasons to play for the Runnin' Rebels.

"My plans were to transfer to San Diego during the winter of 2021," said Logan. "I was supposed to move in on January 18, but they kept delaying my transfer time so I decided to open up my recruitment again. My plan was to red-shirt for one year to get to the weight I was planning for. I'm trying to bulk up to 290 and play in 2022. When I de-committed from San Diego State, I was open to many options. I was not being very specific, but just wanted a school to show they wanted me. UNLV is a great program with a brand new coaching staff and amazing facilities. I also wanted to go there because it is very close to home and could make visits if needed."

Logan was a 2nd Team all-conference pick The 6-6, 275-pound Logan was also recruited by Texas Christian University, University of Hawai'i, Libery University, Utah State University and the University of New Mexico.

The versatile Logan (pictured, left), who can play both tackle positions, helped the Falcons to a 7-4 record in 2019 and a win in the Beach Bowl. He's the third offensive lineman to sign from the 2019 team, and helped the team to average 258 passing yards a game and another 172 on the ground. It also helped lead quarterback TJ McMahon (Rice University), as well as running backs Hinckley Ropati (BYU) and Carl Odom (Angelo State University) earn scholarships.

"What I will remember most from Cerritos was my great o-line group and the coaching staff," said Logan. "The coaching staff really helped me become the man I wanna be and pushed me to be my best self and for the o-line group. I made tons of friends and lifelong buddies. Cerritos College helped me in many ways to go to a university. Some of the most important ways included staying on top of my grades and how to conduct myself in the weight room and on the field. The Cerritos coaching staff is great! They also helped with recruiting a lot and helping me find my way on and off the field."

In the abbreviated 2020 season, the Rebels went 0-6, but have been working hard on their recruiting. Included on the roster is former Cerritos wide receiver Jacob Gasser, who didn't play in 2020. As a junior in 2019, Gasser caught 10 passes and was also used as a kick and punt returner.
