From July 15-17, Cerritos College Director of Track and Field Chris Richardson served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the NACAC U23 Championships in El Salvador. Richardson, who as recently as May, led the Falcon women's track and field team to their second straight CCCAA State Championship, worked with the throwers over the three-day championships.
The North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association championships took place at Jorge "El Magico" Gonzalez National Stadium. Richardson helped lead the women's throwers to three first place finishes, three second place finishes and a pair of third places. On the men's side, the US team won three events and earned three second places.
Previously, Richardson was a member of the Team USA coaching staff for the 2015 NACAC Combined Cup event, which will took place on in Ottawa, Canada.
